PricewaterhouseCoopers

Following a competitive tendering process, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was selected by the Ministry of Forests and Range to administer the FFT Program to licensees and silviculture firms that have been granted the right to enter into a recipient agreement after the firm was the sucessful proponent in a Request for Proposal competition.

As the administrator, PwC accepts workplan proposals developed by the recipients and the Ministry of Forests, approves projects, verifies fieldwork and certifies project completion.

A database administered by PwC called PINES (Program INvestment Entry System) has been developed in which all FFT projects are entered by both the Ministry and Recipients. This allows PwC and the Ministry to track, approved and administer FFT projects. Queries on the database provide summaries for quarterly and annual reports.

PwC also administers the Land Base Investment Program (LBIP) of the Forest Investment Account (FIA). The database for LBIP is called FIRS (Forest Investment Reporting System).
